Instructions Instructions: *** 12-05 very good, actually i used only half the required sausage, well 9 sausages but only 1.5#??)) *** 10 sweet italian sausage (3 #) 2 tb olive oil 1 onion chopped 3 cloves garlic chopped 2 t dried thyme 1 t dried rosemary 8 oz sliced button mushrooms 1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes crushed in a bowl ( i used small diced) 2 can (15oz) white beans drained and rinsed 2 t salt pepper to taste 2 bay leaves set oven to 400 poke a bunch of holes in the sausage with a fork in skillet lay sausages in 1 layer, cover with water, bring to boil, lower heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or so till cooked through drain the sausages meanwhile: in large flameproof casserole heat oil and cook onion and garlic over medium for 3 minutes stir in thyme, rosemary and mushrooms cook stirring for 1 minute cover and continue to cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally add tomatoes and their juices, beans, salt and pepper bring to a boil cut sausages diagonally into 2 " lengths add to bean mixture transfer to hot oven bake for 45 minutes serve ( i topped with a little parmesan cheese) Notes: ********** RECIPE ENDS ******** This recipe published with BigOven, and can be imported instantly by BigOven users.
