6-14-17 good BUT could have been better
can't cook to 160 or it is super well done and it was, try 5 minutes
can't cook on a baking sheet as they fold some what under a broiler so use a baking pan
think it could be a really good and pretty easy meal

SO YOU'VE GOT everything you need for a big summer barbecue, and the whole gang is over. Only problem? It's pouring rain outside, and grilling is a no-go.

Solution: Burgers and fries on the broiler. Put fast-cooking meats like salmon, and boneless poultry—as well as produce such as potatoes, cauliflower, and bell peppers—about 4" (roughly the second oven rack) underneath the heating element. You'll get that fast blast of heat you need for some quick grill-style meat, without needing to step outdoors.

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp cumin powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 sweet potatoes
1 Tbsp canola oil
1/2 tsp chili powder
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
4 thin slices Swiss cheese
How to make it
Preheat broiler with rack 4 inches from heat. Grease baking sheet. Mix beef, BBQ sauce, garlic, cumin, 1/4 tsp salt, and pepper. Make 4 patties and poke with a skewer. Brush tops with oil.

Poke sweet potatoes with a fork and microwave for 5 minutes. When cool, slice into wedges. Toss with oil, chili powder, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Place burgers on sheet and broil until 160°F, about 10 minutes. Top with mustard and cheese; broil until cheese bubbles, about 30 seconds. Remove and drain juices.

Place sweet potatoes in an even layer on baking sheet and broil until blistered.
