Instructions Instructions: *** 8-30-07 well we made this, used "just" 1/2 pound of butter, it was good but theirs was better, we seemed to have more hazelnuts than they did so you can probably reduce that amount some *** 2 lb fresh whole mussels cleaned 1 lb butter salted 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 2 tb chopped garlic 2 tb chopped fresh herbs ( parsley, basil, chives) salt and pepper to taste 4 oz roasted whole hazelnuts (chop once cooked and roasted) 1/4 cup dry white vermouth blend all ingredients in bowl until fully mixed except for mussels and vermouth, set aside wash the mussels and place in large saute pan with some of the soft butter and vermouth, season with salt and pepper cook in an oven or on stove top until shells fully open and meat is cooked add sause and toss so all mussels are coated NOTE we had this and it was great , now we have to make it ourselves This recipe published with BigOven, and can be imported instantly by BigOven users.
