10-2-2009 excellent, sort of like a margarita but simpler
Recipe courtesy Sandra Lee for Food Network Magazine
Inactive Prep Time:
* 1 1/2 ounces tequila
* 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
* 1 ounce simple syrup
* Salt, for the glass (optional)
* Fresh mint, for garnish
Combine the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker
with ice. (To make a batch of simple syrup, simmer equal parts sugar
and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, then cool.) Shake
well, then strain into a chilled martini glass; salt the rim, if
desired. Garnish with mint.
