Instructions *** 6-05 made with striped bass on gas grill outside-excellent *** adopted from mario batali recipe from his restaurant babbo in NYNY, note also that the leftover oil can be used as a dressing (strain through paper towel) as it picks up the lemon flavor well but not the fish taste 1/4 cup capers, rinsed 2 1/2 lb scrod or halibut fillets 1 1/2 large lemons, thinly sliced 1/4 c flat leaf parsley 2 c extra virgin olive oil pre heat oven to 250 chop half the capers pat fish dry sprinkle fish with 1 1/2 t salt and 1/2 t pepper let stand for 10 minutes at room temp arrange half the lemon slices in 8 inch square glass baking dish and arrange fish in 1 layer over lemon\top with all the capers, remaining lemon and 3 tb parsley pour oil over fish bake in middle of oven, uncovered until fish just flakes and is cooked through, about 1 to 1 1/4 hours serve fish with some of the lemon slices, capers and oil spooned over sprinkle with remaining parsley This recipe published with BigOven, and can be imported instantly by BigOven users.
