Instructions *** 12-15-05 everyone liked this, got rave reviews *** 2 lg garlic cloves sliced 2 t sea salt 2 t caraway seeds 2 tb pure chili powder 1/4 c olive oil 2 lb large shrimp shelled and deveined 8 small chorizo about 1/2 lb sliced 1/2 inch thick ( i used linguica as it was all i could find in the smalled diameter) skewers soaked in water mash garlic and salt to a paste add caraway seeds and finely chop them transfer to lg bowl and stir in the chili powder and oil add shrimp and toss to coat bring small saucepan of water to boil add chorizo and cook over high heat for 5 minutes drain and let cool slightly tuck a chorizo slice into the curl of a shrimp and skewer, both ends of shrimp must be caught add more (i did 4 ) to the skewer grill kebabs over hot fire turning once or twice until shrimp are cooker through, about 5 minutes enjoy (i made mine ahead of time so just the cooking remained seemed to work fine though the skewers dried out) Exported from Home Cookin 5.4 (www.mountain-software.com) This recipe published with BigOven, and can be imported instantly by BigOven users.
