Instructions *** 6-21-20 for father's day, different pretty good *** Make a batch of pretty pink strawberry prosecco cocktails — they're perfect for brunch or everyday celebrating. PREP TIME 10 minutes TOTAL TIME 10 minutes Ingredients 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced in half 1/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon strawberry flavored liqueur or vodka (optional) 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 1/2 of a juicy lemon) 1 750-ml bottle Prosecco, chilled Sliced strawberries, for garnish Instructions Puree the strawberries, sugar, liqueur and lemon juice in a blender until very smooth (makes appoximately 1 1/2 cups puree). Pour through a fine strainer set over a container with a pouring spout. Pour the puree into glass flutes to fill by 1/3 (about 2-3 tablespoons per glass). Slowly pour Prosecco over the puree and stir gently. Garnish glass with a slice of strawberry and enjoy.
