Instructions *** 4-15-18 so i had this recipe card from when i had made this years ago so made it again, pretty good!!! *** 2# sweet sausage or 1# sausage and 1.5 # lean hamburg (used sausage hb mix) boil sausage and cut in to 1/2 " pieces (took skin off and sliced and cooked) 1 bayleaf 3 tb oil 1 clove garlic chopped 3 onions cut in 12ths 1 c chopped celery 1/2 c chopped carrots (added some fennel seeds) cook all above in oil until no red center in sausage or meat add 2 cans (28oz) peeled tomato 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste 1 can tomato sauce (added can of artichoike hearts cut in half) (added handful kalamate olives) bring to simmer add lg pinch orregano lg pinch basil 1 tb blk pepper 2 tb sugar 2 tb chopped dehydrated onion simmer 1 hour (add crumbled feta cheese to sauce) serve over pasta with some parm on top This recipe published with BigOven, and can be imported instantly by BigOven users.
